About Access Oahu Tours
A Honolulu Tour Company
Access Oahu Tours is a Honolulu-based tour company built on 20+ years of experience in Hawaii's tourism industry: bringing you closer to the island's history, culture, and natural beauty.
Our Story
Sharing Aloha with every traveler we meet.
Access Oahu Tours was built on more than 20 years of experience in Hawaii's tourism industry. What started as a passion for showing travelers the real Hawaii has grown into a full-service Honolulu tour company, and that depth of industry knowledge shapes everything we do, from the routes we choose to the stories our guides share along the way. We believe a great Oahu tour isn't just about checking sights off a list; it's about genuinely connecting with the place, its history, and its people.
Over the years, we've watched Oahu's tourism industry change: bigger buses, longer lines, more rushed itineraries. We built Access Oahu Tours in response to that: smaller groups, unhurried pacing, and a genuine focus on what makes each destination meaningful, not just photogenic. Whether it's the quiet respect of standing at a historic site or the joy of discovering a hidden coastal lookout most visitors drive right past, we want every guest to leave with more than a few photos.
Based in Honolulu, our team draws on our own experiences to plan the timing and details that turn a good day trip into a lasting memory: knowing when to arrive early to beat the crowds, which lookout points are worth the extra few minutes, and how to keep a full day of sightseeing feeling relaxed instead of rushed. Whether you're honoring history at the USS Arizona Memorial, taking in the view from Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout, or spending a day circling the island's most iconic coastline, we're there to make sure you experience Oahu the way it deserves to be seen.
What Makes Access Oahu Tours Different
Time to
Take It All In
Large tour operators often pack in as many stops as possible, leaving guests with only minutes at each one. We keep our itineraries focused, giving you real time to experience each destination rather than rushing to the next.
Guides Who
Know Oahu
We limit our tours to small groups (max 14 guests) in a comfortable, air-conditioned touring van. No oversized buses, no cramped seating, no obstructed views.
The Itinerary
Is the Itinerary
Late pickups and unclear logistics are among the most common frustrations travelers report with Oahu tours. We provide booking confirmations, reminders, and clear pickup windows, so your day starts smoothly.
Small Groups
by Design
Our guides share authentic Hawaiian history and local insight, not a rehearsed script. Their depth of knowledge is what turns a sightseeing trip into a meaningful experience.
Focused on the Destination
Many Oahu tours include commission-driven detours to souvenir shops that eat into your sightseeing time. Every stop on our itinerary is chosen because it's worth seeing, not because it benefits us.
Communication You Can Trust
If a stop is listed on your itinerary, you'll visit it. We'd rather offer a shorter, honest itinerary than an inflated one that under-delivers.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Our tours run in a high-roof passenger van with steps and no wheelchair lift or ramp. To join a tour, guests need to be able to board and exit the van using two to three steps with a handrail, and travel seated in a standard seat with a seatbelt. A folding manual wheelchair, walker, or cane can be stowed in the vehicle.
Each tour also involves walking and standing at the sites we visit, on paved and sometimes uneven ground, and the Pearl Harbor tours include boarding a Navy-operated boat to the USS Arizona Memorial and riding a shuttle to Ford Island.
If you're unsure whether the tour will work for you or someone in your party, please call us at (808) 688-4791 or email info@accessoahutours.com before booking. We'd rather have an honest conversation up front than have you find out at the curb. If we don't think we can host you safely, we'll tell you plainly and there's no charge.
-
Tours may be cancelled up to 24 hours before the tour start time. If you need to cancel your tour, please contact us directly at info@accessoahutours.com. Refund payments can take up to 5-10 business days to process.

Both, in a specific way. We provide transportation and narration. Our guides share Hawaiian history, culture, and local stories with you throughout the drive. But once you arrive at a site like Pearl Harbor or Byodo-In Temple, you'll explore that location on your own, at your own pace. We're not a walking tour guide who accompanies you through the exhibits or grounds. We get you there, help you understand what you're seeing, and get you back, while you experience each site independently.
-
Not as a core part of the itinerary. We build our stops around what's genuinely worth seeing, not commission-driven detours to souvenir shops. That said, stops like Pearl Harbor and the North Shore surf town of Haleiwa naturally have shops and markets nearby, so there's often some time to browse if you'd like.

Yes. Child pricing varies by tour. Check the specific tour page for exact rates. Infants ages 0–2 ride free as a lap child; if you'd prefer your infant have their own seat, book them as a child instead so we can reserve the space and proper restraint.
-
We'll confirm your specific pickup window the evening before your tour. Pickups begin at the scheduled tour start time and can run approximately 45 minutes as we make our way through the hotel pickup order, so please be ready and watching for us during that window.
